About

Dr. Anton Seris was born and raised in Pretoria, where he also completed his schooling. He pursued his medical studies at the University of Pretoria, obtaining a B.Med.Sci degree in 1982, followed by his MBChB degree in 1986.

He completed his internship at Klerksdorp and Tshepong Hospitals in 1987, after which he served as a medical officer during his National Service in the South African Defence Force from 1988 to 1989.

Dr. Seris specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Pretoria between 1990 and 1993.

He entered private practice at Akasia Hospital in 1994 and also practised at Montana Hospital from 1999 to 2008. After 15 years at Akasia, he relocated his practice to Life Eugene Marais Hospital, establishing a full-time practice from his premises at 316 Fred Nicholson Street, just 200 metres from the hospital.

Dr. Seris has a deep passion for obstetrics and pregnancy care, and continues to be inspired by the remarkable process of embryonic and fetal development, and the profound joy that the birth of a new baby brings to parents. His focus includes the prevention of premature births and minimising risks associated with pregnancy complications.

In the field of gynaecology, Dr. Seris offers comprehensive general care across the specialty. For more complex cases—such as oncology (gynaecological cancers) or infertility—he refers patients to trusted colleagues who are sub-specialists in those fields.
