Endometriosis

This is a common gynaecological condition that affects up to 10% of all women during their child-bearing years.

Endometriosis is a condition where tissue , similar to the tissue that normally grows inside the uterus, also grows outside of the uterus. It can grow on the ovaries, the fallopian tubes, the bowel and the surfaces of the areas in front ,the back and to the sides of the uterus.

The symptoms are :

• Pain
• Heavy periods
• Chronic pelvic pain
• Painful sex
• Difficulty to fall pregnant

Diagnosis is made by Laparoscopic surgery (keyhole/minimal invasive surgery)
